Free to use, the GeM contracts database is open to all institutions and acts as the central purchasing portal for institutions across the UK. All members of the UK higher education purchasing consortia to access nationally agreed contracts to view sector negotiated contracts and sector specific pricing. It offers institutions many benefits including quick access to contracts, centralised purchasing and up to the minute reporting.
National and Regional Contact data
University and College users access gem by visiting www.gem.ac.uk and clicking on the 'search contracts' button. Once in the system, users are provided with full contract information including documentation, price lists and supplier contact details. Institutions can upload local contracts to GeM to streamline your procurement activities so that GeM becomes the easy to use central point for your buyers to find the goods and services that they wish to buy at the best prices.
