GeM shining bright as spend increases

Purchasing on GeM contracts has seen a marked increase in the last 6 months.  Institutions have spent just under £250,000 on products sourced from the contracts hosted on the GeM Contracts repository. 

The University of Huddersfield has spent £42,467.69 on contracts held within the GeM contracts repository in the last six months.  As a member of the North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium, The University of Huddersfield uses the GeM contracts database to view local, national and regional contracts to ensure that they gets the best value for money when purchasing  goods and services.  

GeM provides institutions who are members of a HE consortium with a safe, secure and easy to manage system for searching and viewing consortia negotiated contracts and local contracts.  The optional eMarketplace makes purchasing directly from these contracts even easier ensuring that buyers purchase goods at the best value.
